What do I need to have to run the Whitehall University Online training programs?

A PC or Mac with current operating system updates and security releases — System specifications are basic.

What type of internet connection do I need?

Any broadband type of internet connection will provide you with satisfactory performance.

What does the blinking asterisk (*) next to “edit Profile” indicate?

This blinking asterisk — is letting the student know that the profile needs attention, updating, etc.

I am unable to see or hear the modules, the screen has an error message on it

Please make sure you have the latest Flash version installed on your system — the browser settings may also be set to disable Flash — check to ensure that your security settings are set to “Medium” and you have the latest Flash version installed.

I cannot find my search field, it shows the title but nothing is underneath or next to it.

Please check and make sure the “+” icon has not been activated, it should be set to “-” to ensure the search field is visible.

 

What is the URL for my Whitehall University training website?

http://myname.whitehalluniversity.com – the name will be specific to each client, usually it will consist of the Doctor’s first initial and last name (i.e. dplouff.whitehalluniversity.com)

Why am I only able to get to www.whitehalluniversity.com instead of my own training website?

If you are inputting ‘www’ before the name of your website, the server will re-direct you to our website. The ‘www’ is not necessary or needed to reach your website address.

 

Where can I find a link to the Forums section?

By clicking on the “Forums” link on the left-hand side of the page under “Activities”

The Calendar feature does not display for my login

Please ensure that the “+” is not enabled, to utilize the calendar feature make sure the “-” is showing to display the calendar

I click on the training Module — but all I see is a blank screen.

To view the Training Modules you must have Flash 6.0 or better installed on your PC or Mac, if you do have the software installed and running – please check your browser settings for security settings, as certain browser security settings may be enabled thereby disabling your Flash Plug-in. If you still cannot view the Training Modules- please contact your System Administrator or IT department.

Internet Explorer, FireFox, Safari, Mozilla, and Netscape.
